I know it’s cruel to post a long-discontinued item in the heart of the year’s most hectic shopping period. My apologies to anyone who would immediately add Milky the Marvelous Milking Cow to their shopping or wish list.
Here we have a plastic cow that “drinks” water from a trough (meaning, you put its head down and it acts like a vacuum hose), which then mixes with imitation milk tablets housed in its stomach.
The luscious, giant cow lips and come-hither stare are unnerving. I feel…dirty.
And the final product is not exactly appetizing.
Purely from a collector standpoint, these must be rather valuable.
Watch the commercial, if you dare:
And if your thirst for retro toy horror has not been quenched, why not visit Baby Alive? Or the Baby Alive follow up post?

The image above…perhaps designed to be mildly unsettling…is nowhere NEAR as unsettling as this (originally un-ironic) piece of Thrift Horror:
Quite possibly my favorite comic panel of the month:

If I had the proverbial “thinking cap,” I might want it to look a bit like this:

And speaking of thinking…perhaps “brain bats” are a great descriptive metaphor for certain mental states.

In my humble opinion, “vacation hair” may be among the least of his problems.

That photo reminds me of this extremely surreal video:
And now to cater to my love of flying squirrels (can anyone really be unmoved by this degree of sweet awesomeness?)…

A cautionary tale about alcohol…

Three cheers for perfect parenting! Go ahead and shrink wrap ’em while you’re at it…

Stylish advancement in head and body gear:

You don’t see the winning combo of cookies and guns widely offered anymore.

Someone may be gravely injured…very soon.

This German ad campaign for a job search agency features creative interpretations of what goes on behind the scenes in some of the devices we take for granted.
Time to think about your own tough, thankless job. Brilliant!
Actually, I know a few people who probably wouldn’t mind this job:

What a brilliant old ad campaign for the Sci-Fi Channel (before it became SyFy):
Yes indeed, monsters and aliens…humans can be frightening and cringe-worthy, can’t they?

Anyone who has kept up with this site probably knows that I am a hoarder of images. So during this mini-break from actual posts (which will resume in a couple of days), I figured I’d just post a few of the random images saved on my desktop at the moment.
This type of image posting could actually be a fun experiment for the rest of the week. Welcome to my brain, folks. Enter at your own risk.
