Alnwick Garden is now on my destination list.

The one kind of “medicine” I’d really like to overdose on:

Amazing outfits ahead! This was taken in 1915 (probably what I would have worn if I were around in that time period):

And now an incredible “sport dress” from 1885:

So, is this pretty much the greatest sweater of all time…or THE greatest sweater of all time?

And now for the requisite skeletons that somehow make it into all of these posts. I may have actually featured this before, but I just love it so much.

Be careful when someone asks to “pick your brain.” It may be literal.

With tooth-care proofs of purchase, one could acquire this fabulous dental clock from Zonweiss (well, a rather long time ago anyway):

Mmm…I love the hazy glow of this photo…

When writing a letter to me, please address it as such:

This is how I lift my elephants, too.

I do enjoy de-contextualized slices of vintage printed work…

Absolutely a cause for celebration!

Bats: is there anything they CAN’T do?

Oddly, a few images of bats dealing with headless things grace my desktop at the moment.
This one puts me in a good mood, instantly.

I confess to a bit of library corner lust for this globe lamp:

And these rings are wonderful (yet another example, like most of these images, of lack of sourcing in micro-blogs…does anyone know who makes these?):

I’ll close this post with a monstrously sweet image by McLean Kendree.

I found The Psych Store on Etsy while searching for neuroscience themed jewelry. I had previously found one lovely Glial Cell Necklace that was a bit out of my price range, so finding these beauties was a treat.
Awesome detail and very fairly priced! Both of these neuron items are on my wish list now.
The Dopamine Molecular Earrings are nice as well:

Peter Von Erickson is a prop builder, teacher and upright bass player for The Memphis Morticians (great band!). But he also has some true one of a kind jewelry creations on Etsy.
These first two are on my wish list:

Each cameo is an original design, hand sculpted and cast in resin.
Graveyards, zombies and spooks are the main fare in this wonderful collection.
This one would be great as an informal engagement or wedding gift for the morbidly inclined (personally, I find this very romantic):

There are also a number of cameo rings up for grabs.

What a perfect idea for a necklace! Pica Pica Press let’s the MST3K gang riff your very own photo of choice! Onto my wishlist it goes…
There is also a Tom Servo silver necklace in the shop at the moment:
See more dreamy geek jewelry here.
A number of pieces from Little Sister Designs caught my eye with their dark, delicate, lovely strangeness.
Most jewelry items contain sterling silver castings of bones, claws and other oddities.

I love the cuff bracelets from Unique Art Pendants (too bad my wrists are far too tiny for most standard bracelets).
Some of the lockets are great as well…
There are also art prints and all kinds of other jewelry (not all anatomical…I just have a soft spot for those designs).

Unfortunately, I couldn’t get the source link to work in order to gather more information about this piece…but it would be perfect for Halloween festivities (and year round for some folks).
Browsing Creatures from El inspired me to see if anyone was selling filigree bat jewelry on Etsy. Not filigree backings with bats attached…but intricately carved wing designs.
The incredible Fable and Fury did not disappoint! This is getting me in the Halloween spirit (not that I don’t enjoy bats all year round).
It also comes in silver (I believe I saw red as well)…

The black one is going on my wish list.
This Antique Bat Necklace also turned up…love this one too.

Oh humans…how you entertain me with your adornments. I do recall rumors about Acuvue’s diamond contact lens a while back:
Though I never heard any follow up information. Now we have La SER Eye Jewelry. Decadent? Perhaps. But creator Dr. Chandrashekhar Chawan not only donates treatments to those in need with every pair of contacts purchased, but never denies treatment to those unable to afford eye care.
A tad extreme for everyday wear (and I was once a goth), but perfect to craft a glittering undead or lavish android look.
