Halloween Countdown: Cemetery Favorites Part 1

I have a massive collection of eye catching headstones and cemetery scenes on my hard drive. Here’s a small preview of some favorites.

“How is a raven like a writing desk?”

Nom nom nom…

Slowly devoured.

How I want to go:

No need to stay in bed now.
Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Boston MA

Jesus emerges from walls to play (terrified, anyone?).

Have a seat.

Eternal jazz hands.

Cannot type/talk due to severe illness (all words courtesy of voice software or kind typing helpers)…I read and appreciate all comments…Apologies for not being able to respond.

  1. Half angel, half skeleton! That is what I want for my blot!

  2. These are incredible!

  3. These are fantastic! Love those hungry trees. The Jesus one is darn creepy, though

  4. Dana, you should start a “Cemetery Wrecks” blog. That Jesus one and the Jazz hands are pretty wrecky indeed! Gah!

  5. The woman in her bed tomb marker… I *know* it’s supposed to be her foot sticking up at the end of the bed, buuuut… It’s awkward enough that it looks more like a gremlin or something under her covers! Hah hah hah

  6. You have a fantastic collection not to mention the photos are lovely. I too love the hungry tree.

  7. Those are great! Love to come across some of them in a local cemetery. That Jesus with the swing, however… WTF?!?!?

  8. Just wonderful!

I’ve decided Jazz Hands are even scarier than Creepy Jesus – but it’s a close-run thing 😉 -Nx
