We’re almost halfway to Halloween…who wants to celebrate?
HOW could I be such a die hard Halloween fan and have known nothing about the Yankee Candle Boney Bunch characters until finding them in an image search this year?
What an adorable collection of candle holders, figurines and other household decorative items!
And even if you don’t use them on a cake, I happen to think these happy newlyweds (newlydeads?) would make for an excellent wedding proposal (if you can’t invest in a Zombie Fortune Teller for your sweetie with spooky leanings).
Anyone have the Boney Bunch?

I do not have any myself but do think they’re adorable. From what I understand, collectors line up outside stores the day the new collection is released and their site runs out of certain ones very quickly!
I do have one! Mine is a candle stick of the bride and groom. I got it when I babysat a friend’s little boy for a weekend while she was away on a trip. I insisted no pay so she came home with something even better. I love when my friends know me:)

I’ve been collecting the Boney Bunch since YC started them in 2008. I’ve been lucky enough to get at least a few of the pieces I wanted each year. And another commenter was correct: people line up for them. This past year many stores had a special BB party in July where they opened up their stores earlier than the rest of the mall and basically had a Halloween party. The only problem? Extremely inconsiderate people would buy several of one type, sometimes cleaning out the store’s inventory before others could purchase, then reselling them on eBay for three or four times the original price! I heard one woman went in with some sort of cart, and as she was the first in line, managed to clear out several of last years additions. Only a few people other people in line right behind her managed to get anything at all (so the fifty or so other people who’d also been waiting did so for nothing.) And there was nothing anyone could do about it. ):
I have been very fortunate. I stumbled on the Boney Bunch their first year out and have collected every piece every year since. I have totes full of them and hope to one day have a room dedicated to them in our new home. Looking forward to 2013 series coming out August 3rd. only 3 weeks from now.. the preview catalog should be out in 2 weeks.
I never get the catalog anymore, but can’t wait til Aug. 2nd. Will be one of the nuts waiting outside the store!!!
