I saved this image the first time I saw it, then it popped up on about 30 of the regular sites I follow. I must say…these are great candles:

This reminds me of the small vase of doll heads on sticks in the corner of my desk. Sometimes I forget what’s in my own house.

Look at the sweet expression on this Kajiu’s face. He only wants a hug, really.

I actually sent little Crack Kitty as a greeting the other day (which I probably enjoyed far more than the recipient).

And some strung out veggies that remind me a bit of Nouar’s wonderful work.

Your daily dose of retro comic trepanation:

What comes to mind when you think of NORSE GODS? Stuffed cabbage? Me too. THOR-RIFFIC.

I wish I knew who this photographer is:

No idea what this was actually for:

Too many bad puns I could make. Invent your own.

Stark contrast of pristine confection art and…for lack of a better term…BRAIN PLOP…brilliant.

I’m going through an anatomical bird phase at the moment.

I just put this one on a pendant:

And lastly, I give you a random shot of the world’s most timid fire extinguisher suggestion:

A while back, I posted some Anatomical Kaiju images, which turned out to be surprisingly well liked.
Here are a few more, featuring Gamera and foes…
I enjoy anatomical representations of fictional creatures. It takes the imagination one step further.
Let’s start with a few old fashioned hairstyling devices…
You’re never too young to start paying a miserable price for beauty.
This enticing image was a recent Suicide Food entry:

Precursor to the gold mine of sports drinks:

Although it was technically on Cake Wrecks, I think this cake is pretty great:

And for some reason this piece appeals to me.

Party hat for the cephalopd inclined?

I would very much like to have this product by my bathtub:

Great new mandala designs by Shepard Fairey:

Don’t you feel better, now that the anatomy has been explained? (I think I found this on Monster Brains…not sure)

Let’s put 20 seconds on the clock and see how many things we can find wrong with this picture. Okay…20 minutes…

Here’s something to get your mind off the Cabbage Patch dolls:

Halloween Countdown starts tomorrow so give me a hand with suggestions (*groooooan*)…

Monster Brains has a nice little roundup of art by obscure artist Raiu.
You can definitely detect the classical style amidst the monsters and the undead…

This minimalist robot has been getting a ton of web coverage lately, so I’m going to keep this brief and take a different angle.
If you’d like to read about the actual robot and its telecommunication purposes, you can do that anywhere (or at my source).
My personal opinion is that this would make a KILLER horror and/or suspense thriller prop.
So I ask you…what kind of horror plot do YOU think it belongs in? Get creative in the comments!
Pink Tentacle just posted a nice little collection of logos from the Japanese Figure Trademark database. A few of my favorites…
Show your favorite movies on your dog’s face.

Or for those who would prefer a larger animal…

Lastly…YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE CUTE! (That needs to be a new tag, I think)

See more here.
I thought I posted some strange ice cream flavors last year, but I can’t seem to find any evidence of it. This post has a great roundup of some unconventional flavors.

Explore more of the other side of ice cream here.
