Halloween Countdown: Mini Target Stash

Don’t be fooled by this monstrosity. Target has some great Halloween goodies.

A few notes…

MONSTER CEREALS: What happened to the package design? Boo looks jaundiced and sickly. Frankenberry has a strawberry manicure like a pre-teen girl. The Count still has odd buck teeth instead of fangs.

POP TARTS: If you eat pop tarts, get these! They are autumn in sugary toaster pastry form. I can only handle Pop Tarts occasionally and I found myself addicted.

TREAT BAGS: Amazing job on the treat bag design this year…they’ve gone for a vintage look!

PLATES: These were a gift from someone who knows me quite well, obviously. I think they are my favorite Halloween plates of all time.

SOCKS: For a special baby girl I know. Adorable little skull design.

GROWING OCTOPUS: I know this isn’t Halloween related. But cephalopods rule.

Halloween Countdown: John Nouanesing Table

This bloody delight by John Nouanesing would be a fantastic Halloween accessory for the home.

You could just put a table cloth on it for the rest of year and BAM…blood is gone.

But it’ll be there when you need it.

Talk about perfect placement! I’m sure we’ve all thought “If only I had the perfect place for my deer sculpture and my thermos…”

Well, Misha Kahn constructed a very unique and personal storage system.

Apparently he surveyed the random objects in his apartment, printed out life size cut outs, and assembled them into a giant thought bubble that served as a construction blueprint.

Constructed of laser cut mdf, and pink foam, then fiberglassed and coated with molded polysterene. The interior is painted and flocked, with hardwood (dovetailed) drawers, and door. Stands 7 feet’ 6” inches high.

Yes, they are $200 per sticker. This is definitely a decorative investment.

Go Medieval on Your Morning Coffee

I think the design could actually benefit from a few extra spikes. If you’re going to make a coffee machine that resembles a medieval mace, you gotta go ALL out. Am I right?

Strongly consider this design for your torture chamber or dungeon, where a standard “MR. Coffee” pot just wouldn’t do.

The best part of waking up is agony in your cup!

Predator Lamp Tables

My one gripe with this metal sculpture lamp table of Predator with nunchucks is that Predator doesn’t need nunchucks. He’s PREDATOR.

However, this table is also available with a machine gun, sword and spear (clearly the more realistic options).

I think if I were to purchase a Predator sculpture, I’d want it to be about seven feet tall and serve no other functional purpose but to stand in place and look intimidating.
