I’m not sure what’s going on in this cake. There appears to be a small army of cake dolls who’ve been decapitated and had their heads replaced by giant eyeballs…yet they cling tenaciously to their old plastic heads for good measure:

Due to my compulsive habit of collecting online images, I’ve literally amassed thousands of intriguing unlabeled pictures.
I have no recollection of where this comes from…I can only assure you it actually exists (and might even grace the neckline of some individual). The size of this piece alone renders it an effort to wear.

To the best of my knowledge, this is not an art project laden with social commentary on Capitalist decadence. Nevertheless, I’ve seen satirical art pieces far less poignant than this creation.
There’s been much speculation about the approach of 2012 by everyone from scientists to UFO enthusiasts. I’m going to ignore it and skip straight to a true mark of absurdity: Nickelodeon’s 2012 movie…for kids.

The action-adventure storyline revolves around a family who goes on vacation in December 2012, just as the Mayan calendar is coming to a close.
Ah, we can even capitalize on the alignment of the cosmos! Can we look forward to 2012 Doomsday Playsets? One can hope.
