Wow…these are the most gorgeous glass blown cephalopods. Wearable as jewelry, or just plain amazing to display.
I really want this little beauty, even if only to sit near me on my desk.

Alpha, much? (Reminds me of Max Power: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4w3zdkmw2E4)

This book is just a blank page with a single word: DON’T.

Child “guidance,” toward the ever important world of trans fats.

Holy exploding cloaca! Who would brand their product this way?

Is it me, or do you feel a draft?

This story has all of my favorite things!

Answer to the age-old problem.

Hope you are all feeling beautiful today.

I’ve been a fan of Scott Musgrove for many years, but admittedly have paid more attention to his artwork than sculpture.
His latest piece, Walktopus, is a treat for those with a penchant for cephalopods. This fellow is my height (well, I can boast being an inch or two taller since I tower over the masses at a gargantuan 5’1″-5’2″).
And the 20″ version:
What a great candle holder for a quirky library like mine…

Oh ocean…you deep, exotic world of mystery…will you ever cease to amaze?
I wish there was more info listed about these findings. They seem clearly related to other known creatures, but who can ever get enough sea life variety?
This one looks like my intestines dressed up for a party (no really…I’ve seen my intestines on film twice in the past week).
Fellow children of the 80’s will agree that this one is “totally tubular.”

You can also check out the Angel and Devil, Bobtail Squid, Rainbow Glow Jellyfish and amazing others.

I’ve posted about some vintage diving suits before. Here’s another installment of a few beauties…great for those days when one is feeling a tad body conscious.
More photos and info here.

Ah, Springtime–when critters of all sorts gather together in little clusters to pose for an artist such as Tiffany Bozic!

I started this post before falling increasingly ill. May still be gone for a bit…I had SO much to share this Halloween…but it’ll just have to wait for now. Here’s what I had so far…
Rockabilly Bride of Frankenstein. Awesome!

Amazing roundup of Halloween creatures here.

Two great cakes from Cake Wrecks.

Fellow 80’s kids…remember these?

And lastly, the always hilarious AXE COP (featuring Nick Offerman)!

I came across two great Angler Fish items in the past few days. Let’s start with a lovely lantern for the home:
…and move onto this sweet ride that was part of the VIVID Light Festival in Sydney.
A kind reader sent me a link to CMooreGlass; a wonderful collection of hand made made glass pendants inspired by sea creatures.
Amazing jellyfish pendant (now on my wish list!):

Each one is unique, and quite beautiful. See more here.
