Lisha’s Body Art is the work of Lisha Simpson. She paints some fantastic cut-out illusions on her own hand!

This looks like an awesome model kit.

I love this painting. Such a sense of longing.

I left the trademark that says “for personal purposes only,” because I imagine all of us have ultra-cute kitten purposes.

On the other hand, I see no earthly purpose for this:

So…extra crotch room for Chuck Norris style kicks was a selling point?

I’ve loved Simona Candini’s work for ages. She just had a makeup contest via Instagram, and the entries were pretty astounding.
I’ll start with my very favorite one. THIS kid!
People put so much time and care into this…

I commend everyone’s meticulous work! See hashtag #simocontest on Instagram for more.

Now THIS is killer snail makeup done right (okay, I’ve never seen it done wrong…or at all for that matter…but these guys nail it).
Swedish duo Elli Macs SFX is responsible for this creation. Here’s a tutorial video, if you’re interested in seeing the process.

We’ve seen creepy makeup and neon zombie body paint. Here we have some cosmetic creations with an artistic slant.
Gore and shock value can be great for Halloween, but illusions are quite impressive in their own unique way.

Believe it or not, Body Electric is the work of an “amateur bodypaintress.”
These neon zombie vixens are some of the most eye catching body paint work I’ve ever seen.

Seriously, imagine showing up to a Halloween party painted Body Electric style. Who could look away?

This girl definitely has a bright (*groan* pun intended) future in body art, if she chooses! And I hope she does.

This is not your average Halloween makeup. Are you ready to see some stellar skills and masterful makeup illusions?
The effect itself is great, and I imagine it must be extra surreal to see the human mouth talking within this design.

Brilliant use of an add-on prosthetic chin!

Shiro Cosmetics just had my eyes glued to the screen for 20 minutes. This is a cosmetic company with imagination, sense of humor, and seemingly awesome products. Check out the names!
Burdened With Glorious Purpose:

From the company bio:
We’re proud to offer high quality, vegan, cruelty-free makeup which we blend by hand every day in small batches from our lovely little Portland laboratory. Our inspiration comes from the things we’re passionate about (which mostly involves our being giant shameless nerds), which we’ve used to create a wide range of unique, vibrant products and colors.I can’t stop listing them! The moment I saw this brand, I did not leave my computer until I had browsed every single item.
You can wow your relatives on Thanksgiving by sporting Turkey Coma!

For those of you who take the time to do facial contouring (I have never attempted it), you’ll find a Benedict Cumberbatch inspired product series:

And the most amazing title…
NICK CAGE RAKING LEAVES ON AN AUTUMN AFTERNOON!

And on the inside of the container….
Wait for it…

There is face painting, and there is total face transformation. Some artists are so skilled with costume makeup that they create elaborate optical illusions on the canvas of the human face.
It must take a great deal of patience (for the artist and model) to make these masterpieces happen.

Have you come across any incredible makeup this season? Have you painted your own face?
