At least a blizzard can lead to creativity. Two dear friends of mine made The Snow Pope. Isn’t it great?
If you made a cool snow creation (or have seen any), please share!
I give much credit to The Manchester Morgue for catering to some of my more obscure horror, soundtrack (and comedy) needs. He’s really outdone himself now. This may be the greatest mix CD title I’ve ever seen:
NARCOLEPTIC SORCERER IN THE HOUSE OF EVENTUAL DOOM
I think I’d listen to a CD recording of raccoons fighting, providing it has a genius title and cover like this.
See the tracks and get the mix here.
As I get my bearings after a busy few days, please enjoy a short video.
I credit Rifftrax for unearthing this vintage gem.
What could excite a child more than an anatomically awkward, lethargic animatronic dog with a questionable name, lumbering along in slow motion at the tug of a leash?
The world knows Thomas Kinkade as the “Painter of Light.” His work is so charming, so emotionally soothing that it’s borderline unnerving.
A post over at Monster Brains prompted me to seek out “Thomas Kinkade mashup” artwork.
It appears that a number of people have bastardized Kinkade’s glowing, idyllic scenes (a few in response to a contest held on SomethingAwful.com).
Expect a roundup of actual products made with Kinkade’s art during the holidays, because they can be unintentionally hilarious (like this snowman cult leader who appears to have devoured an entire village).
Boy, did I have a great time searching this page. AbeBooks has created a Weird Book Room on their site, featuring numerous bizarre titles.
I think this is the only (near) vomit action shot I’ve seen on a book cover:

If I had a dime for every time I heard THIS complaint…

Forget health, happiness, world peace…there are more important uses for mental power.

Designed to promote their Kofli collection (which features coffee on the inside), these brilliant ads from Italian chocolate company Zaini feature a series of caffeinated animals.
I think I’d have a wonderful time modifying standard chocolates to look more like these.
And now we have the inanimate Scary Santa results…

At least this one is intentionally freakish…

The Jesus/Santa combo always irks me. Get your myths right, people.
