I just have to pay a quick compliment to My Ghoul Friday’s white craft pumpkins. I’ve never thought of working with white before, and she does a stellar job:

Ms. Ghoul Friday, care to share a picture of them illuminated? 🙂

I can only post briefly, since I’m hosting an event at my house later (which I’ll be sure to share in the near future). Here are two not-so-high-quality photos of the accessories I made myself for today.

More to come…have a lovely Saturday…
The Shadow Farm makes fantastic eerie creatures, perfect for the Halloween season.
Look at this guy! Isn’t he amazing?

Aww…he’s grumpy.

But here’s a mirthful little fellow:

Occasionally during the Halloween season, I come across paper mache (*ahem*…pa-PIER mache…excuse me) pumpkins. But I haven’t seen any that compare to those on Stolloween.

These are very well made and brimming with character.

Since the creator is kind enough to include tutorials on the website, I’m tempted to add the project to my already outrageous list of Halloween crafts to undertake.

Go have a look (and send me pictures if you decide to make one!).
I recently posted about artist/sculptor William Bezek’s commission for the greatest wedding proposal of all time, but I love his new “crop” of pumpkin creations.

Each one is about 4 1/2″ in diameter, made from Paperclay. Each on has an eerily human face with distinct personality…

And from last year, conjoined twins!

A few more in this post.
As you can see here and here, I’m a fan of all things Haunted Mansion.
Giddie Girlie on Etsy has made a series of Hitchiking Ghost embroidery.
Currently sold out, but I would love to hang a set of all three!
Melbourne jewelry designer and silversmith Julie Parker has a line of anatomically correct pendants, entitled Black Jewls. These pieces are beautifully detailed and well crafted.

Vertebrae (how cool is that!?):

It’s still August, and I’ve been overtaken by a wave of serious Halloween excitement (amplified by project brainstorming with a fellow Halloween enthusiast).
The always wonderful Creepy Cupcakes directed to the work of Shain Erin.

His dolls are wonderfully crafted undead; zombies, mummies, skeletons.

And a few “living” freaks.

See more in his galleries.
You may remember the cassette tape lamps I posted. Now here is one made of speakers, by Georgiosi. Who knew discarded musical paraphernalia would aid in the creation of fantastic lighting?

This one isn’t the most practical lamp, but it’s pretty neat anyway.
Under the picture’s on the creator’s site is this little rhyme:
Twinkle twinkle little speakers
Shedding shadows from their tweeters
Lost and found
I’ll bound them round
Shining a light that makes a sound
