The face is compromised of multiple strokes, but wait for it. The entire body is done with a single stroke, brilliantly colored and textured via distribution of paint and a series of precise tiny-movements. Watch:

  1. That’s incredible! I can’t believe how well that worked, with all the segments and the pale underbelly all in one go. It’s weird to think that once you know how to do that, about 90% of the dragon’s total length becomes “the easy bit”.

      I know! My jaw dropped when I saw that single stroke and I thought “Wow…I would’ve wasted a *really* long time painting that.”
