This homemade parasite specimen is one of the finest examples of DIY prop crafting I’ve ever seen.
The creator gives a small comment:
This was sculpted out of polymer clay and painted with acrylics. The detail work was done with dental tools and some custom texture stamps. I added the gore just to dress up the photos a bit. It’s essentially lumpy gravy- cornstarch and water mixed with some food coloring and heated up until it gels.
I don’t know about you, but I think the goopy red stuff is a very nice touch. A shiny, slimy luster makes any parasite look its best.

I think I was served something like that in a Chinatown restaurant. It was quite tasty.
My first thought, I kid you not, was “Sweet and Sour Parasite.”
lol. Yeah. Although my recollection is more like “what is this vegetable thing I am sort of scared of” but I was prompted to try. American Chinese food or REAL Chinese. Then you have Sweet + Sour Sci-Fi Chinese.
Wow… TOO realistic!
Ooh, slimey goodness! The creator’s comment about the gore being, ‘essentially lumpy gravy’ gets me all excited ‘cos his cornstarch-and-water mix is the basis for Cold Porcelain, which I’ve been investigating lately. His mixed-media creations are delightfully squicky and horrid and – gosh, why am I so hungry now……? ๐ -Nx
Hahaha…me too. I really want Sweet and Sour Chicken!
