If it’s time for your child to begin his or her foray into surreal, existential literature, why not start with My First Kafka?
I’m actually quite intrigued by this concept and would be VERY curious to see the author/artist interpretations.

What literature would YOU like to see illustrated as a children’s story?

This is definitely, uplifting. I’d completely forgotten about Franz Kafka. I like how the old authors gave duo titles to their stories: Josephine the Singer, Or The Mouse People. It’s good people are translating his works. I’d give these illustrations a splash of watercolor though, you know, to make it pop.
He’s a favorite of mine!
I’m in love with this idea!
