Jasmine Becket-Griffith
I had to pause for a moment upon seeing Jasmine Becket-Griffith’s new painting because I had yet to see my (oddball) eye color and hair depicted in a piece of art.
I can never give an answer when asked for my eye color. The center near the pupil is brown, then it gets gold, then green/grey in some kind of bizarre starburst.
I love the innocence and sadness of this piece (and many of her pieces).

Wow, JBG can paint, especially shiny eyes. What a lucky person to do that for a career. This painting does remind me of you, Dana, as a strangling, and the eyes are similar. You’re too modest to admit it but your actual eyes have the semblance of a natural gem like those mossy greens and speckles of gold. If I would label them, I guess… Earthen Radiance.
