Artist Kevin Champeny is, in his own words “a New York based artist creating mosaic works blurring the line between photo, painting, and sculpture by creating a conversation between the hand sculpted and cast pixels and the image they come together to form.”  The works below are comprised of thousands of coloured cast pieces which are used to make the larger image.

“Killing Field” is composed of resin cast animals in a still life of shotgun shells.

  1. This is almost identical to the art of Chris Jordan, who uses photomanipulation to portray statistics of consumption on a massive scale… you should check it out! 🙂
