I would love to get my hands on some more old and/or rejected pitch ideas from famed toy and gaming companies. The Nintendo Knitting Machine has been described as “one least genuinely enthusiastic demos” in NES history.
But the catch phrase is just so priceless:

Would you want to turbocharge your knitting with electronic assistance, or is this the very antithesis of knitting’s leisurely nature?
Short blurb on the product here.

Hahahah! I know Nintendo has always had weird accessories and peripherals, but this is just madness! A custom jumper in 4 hours, haha! It’s interesting that they’ve always wanted to expand their appeal to non-gamers, but between the Wii and custom t shirt printing I guess there’s no space for the knitting machine any more. Alas.
I can’t decided whether or not this thing should…indeed…exist.
I’ve heard of the knitting clocks but never this! I must bring it to my husband and son’s attention as they know all thing about the gaming world ๐
Oh yes, this will get them major gamer cred (eh…or not).
I feel like this has come across my radar before…is that possible? Was this ever actually released?
Never made it into existence but maybe someone circulated the old prototype ad.
Nice answers in return of this matter with firm arguments and telling all concerning that.
