Jonathan Coulton: Creepy Doll

What a lovely little song and video…if you’re into this sort of thing, like I am.

  1. I have a small doll collection that my partner makes me keep hidden in a room on the third floor of my house that no one goes into. Thanks to you and this video I now understand why he’s afraid of them. They never seemed “creepy” to me, I grew up with them and always loved them. Oh, wait a minute, is this something else I should be seeking therapy for?

    • Ha! If you need therapy for this…so do I! I pretty much assume that anyone I end up living with will make me confine my collections to a remote corner of the house.

  2. Omgosh, this song is in my head now. It’s quite catchy…and the ruined eye is always open.

Tuesday requested it twice. But then she is used to Chatty Cathy. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • I’ve posted some great vintage creepy doll commercials in the past. You should check them out! A search for “creepy doll” might cover it. I think I even paid homage to Talky Tina.

  3. So cute!

There’s a Twilight Zone episode “The Dummy”, and that has been one of the very few dolls/dummy that actually horrifies me. I love “creepy” dolls but that dummy horrifies me.

(You don’t have to watch the clip and I’m sure you are already aware of this episode, but I just posted it in case!) ๐Ÿ™‚
