Woopitydooart

I had a dollhouse for a short time as a child, and I always wanted to “haunt” it. Something inspired me to do an image search for “haunted dollhouse” recently, and I was pleasantly surprised to discover that a number of crafters now specialize in spooky miniatures.

On a whim, I started a Pinterest board for them (I just began using the site, so please excuse the sparse posts and randomness).

Whoopitydooart had some of my favorite haunted dollhouse treats.

MONSTER CAKES for the table! How great are these?

The Invisible Man…perfect for the dollhouse study.

Plenty of vampires to choose from.

Haunted tea set (don’t you hate it when this happens?):

Carriage…

She haunts the dollhouse dining room with her moldy doughnuts…

    • I’m trying to avoid thinking about purchasing a dollhouse. I know it would become a fairly expensive little project because I love these spooky adornments!

  1. When I was little, I was terrified of dolls…I know, funny because of who I turned out to be. Now my house it full of old dolls, the creepier the better. I haunted doll house would fit right in with my lovely little misfits.

  2. Very cool! I still have a large Victorian style dollhouse from when I was a kid (oh so many hours spent re-enacting the never-ending fight for toy domination of this fortress) that is currently just stuck up in my daughters closet. I’ve been kicking around the idea of haunting it for a while now and this reminds me I need to do this! Oh if only I had the time and aforementioned money needed for such a project…Someday…

  3. Have you searched Pinterest for your blog? I know I have pinned things from this site and others have too. Check it out!

    • Actually, I haven’t, but I should! I should also make a “SheWalksSoftly Outtakes” board for extra works by the artists I post.

  4. Oh my frickin’ word… a haunted doll house. That’s amazing. I recently visited a doll house/antique toy museum over in Vermont.. lemme tell ya Dana, that would’ve made it A LOT more interesting. Wow. Now I’m going to look into it! I would love to see what people are doing! And you’re right about the expensive part.. yikes. Regular doll house hobbying is expensive.. but haunted doll house? I can only imagine…. Awesome idea though. Thanks for sharing!
