I’d love to get my hands on a copy of Great Tales Of Horror And Suspense, illustrated by Harry Borgman in 1974.
The style is wonderful, and I’m digging his use of a single color in black and white images.

Awesome! Thanks for the link, Randall!
I’ll keep my eyes open for this one at all my antique shops & flea markets I visit, but if I come across such piece it may be hard to part with! 😉
I would never make you part with this book! As long as one of us has it, that’s good enough. 🙂
I absolutely LOVE this. If you find an extra copy in you search… Speaking of vampires, have you seen the trailer for “Dark Shadows”? It looks surprisingly good. Possibly the first good thing Tim Burton will put out in 10 or so years.
I did see the Dark Shadows trailer. I just watched the original series in its entirety last year. I’ve been following the production photos and news about Tim Burton’s version, and the trailer was actually much cheesier than I expected! I’ll still see it, of course. 🙂
Two clues that “Dark Shadows” is going to suck. One, the trailer looks awesome,. Two, it is directed by Tim Burton. Sigh…
Haha…actually, I found the trailer a bit disappointing! I didn’t think he’d go goofy with it.
By the way HAPPY ONE MONTH OF BLOG!!!! You’ve kept strong for a whole month, pitnosg late only a few times for personal reasons. I congratulate you.And smile.
The Dark Shadows trailer: You can almost hear Don LaFontaine’s voice, with a catchy tune which suddenly stops to the sound of a record being scratched. I know Burton likes working with Depp but I guess Jim Carey was unavailable. Jonathan Frid would be rolling over in Barnabas Collins’ grave is he were dead. I hear he did a cameo. Here’s hoping that’s the ONLY association Frid has with this vampiric turkey.
The book is not titled “Dracula”, it is “Great Tales Of Horror And Suspense”. The book contains two stories, one illustrated by Norman Nodel and the other by myself. The publisher is Galahad Books and it should be available in used book stores.
Fixed! Thank you!
