Gino De Dominicis: Calamita Cosmica

I would love to see this massive skeleton installation by Gino De Dominicis on the streets of NY (where there would be space, I do not know).

See more photos and perspective here.

  1. The thing’s huge! That nose bit is so odd, strange how quickly it becomes the main weird thing. You just don’t expect it in your impossibly massive skeletons.

    • What does it say about me that it was the LAST thing I noticed because I was so wrapped up in the giant skeleton-ness of the thing? If I can’t notice a nose twice the size of my own body, my attention to detail may be slightly lacking.

      • It just means you saw the big picture first and worked your way down… it’s kinda like “can’t see the forest for the trees..” But back wards… and in your case not trees and forests.. more like a GIANT nose and a positively humongous skeleton! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  2. This might be my geekness popping out, but that looks like it could be the skeleton of Oswald Cobblepot(Penguin) from Batman.

(I haven’t visited your blog in such a long time, but I excitingly plan on being a regular again!) ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Cassandra, unfortunately wordpress seems to have 3 comment limit in any thread so I can’t respond directly, but…this is DEFINITELY the place to let your geek flag fly!

  4. Oh dear goodness! Love this fellow! I was too caught up in him to notice his nose until your other picture. Oh, the space one had to have when making him! Where would one store him after displaying him here???

    • I’m SO glad I’m not the only one who noticed that rather sizable nose AFTER everything else! I feel like this fellow should earn a permanent spot on top of a building when the display time is over. I’d gladly offer up my own house. ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Heat pumps are ideal for those responsible for the company they haven’t lined up with a Criminal Code Offence and
will provide offer you a layout for the past. You’ll want the
contractor such as new — beginning the day. Ask other questions that can include a provide clause in there too.
