On principle, I’m opposed to spending close to $2,000 for a simple dress. But this Celestial Combo Dress is giving me some ideas about what I might be able to make for myself…
I vow to make a celestial cocktail dress for under $20. It can be done.

2,000? Hah! Not in a million light-years! I wouldn’t even pay 400.00 for a dress and believe me, I’ve been tempted:

And I can sort of understand a steep price-tag for something with that many sequins but you could totally make that dress or one even cuter for $20!
and when this wonderful concoction of celestial fashion is finished there will be pictures, yes? YES?
I do hope I get around to making a dress like this. Of course I’ll post pictures if I do!
You may find inspiration in the wide variety of videos of “Brandon McConnell” spray painting space scenes. He is the equivalent to Bob Ross (happy trees) but for the intergalactics. McConnell’s art may have a limited audience, but my hat is off to his wide variety of techniques. have fun! (and yes, please post pictures)
Ooh…I’ve never seen McConnell’s stuff before. Thank you!
I’d say it’s just a question of finding the right fabric for the celestial part of the dress. And yes we want pictures of the end result!
I’m having a love affair with these butterfly skulls dresses:

I’m quite sure the price will be off the chart, but a girl can dream ๐
The prices are always insane. Whenever I see fashion pieces like this I always wonder how I can make it myself because I wouldn’t feel right spending the money…even if I could.
