California Carnivores is the largest carnivorous plant retailer in the US. The selection is truly impressive!
Venus flytraps, sundews, pitcher plants, cobra plants…and SO many more! The site is easy to search by plant type, region and climate. Plants are sold separately or in collections.
Lately I’ve been feeling like I’d get a lot of satisfaction from cultivating a little garden. Perhaps I should include some of these. Anyone had experience with carnivorous plants?

My friend had a little venus flytrap. They found out that each little leaf could only close and open X number of times before it died. So don’t tease the poor thing with any object unless it is a real insect otherwise it may die quickly.
Ah, thank you for the tip.
This place is wonderful! Weve spent many hours in there. We have a good size carn garden. The owner wrote a great book called The Savage Garden by Peter D’Amato.
Oh yes, that book is on my wish list. I travel a lot at the moment, but as soon as I can be a stay at home mommy to my little carnivores, I’ll be getting some plants!
Carnivorous plants are the most beautiful plants in the world. Yes, even more beautiful than roses.
