This coincidence is too perfect to ignore. Cake Wrecks decides to post a series of wonderful Dr. Seuss inspired cakes on the same day a dear friend of mine made one for her son’s second birthday.
Those cakes are by seasoned professionals and pastry artists. Now take a look at this one my friend did. It was her FIRST foray into anything like this, and I think it came out amazing:

Fun! I’m inspired to walk to my window and look up at Dr. Seuss’s house. No kidding, I can see his former abode high at the top of Mt. Soledad from my sunroom (his widow still lives there and she drives around town in a big cadillac with the license plate GRINCH).
You can see Dr. Seuss’s house? That’s rather neat. I actually want to re-visit some of his work soon. I like to do that every decade or so. ๐
