This one is for my dad, and the other Star Trek fans I know.
Kellogg’s has surprised fans with waffles that have edible images on them of Star Trek characters, planets, logos, phrases, and technology. There are more than 25 different waffles available with this limited edition item.
Naturally, they came out in conjunction with 2009’s Star Trek movie (wouldn’t it be wonderful if vintage movies were randomly selected for artistically rendered waffles, without a remake to market?).
I like the retro feel of the images…
It’s quite a dilemma for collectors though. Eat them? Photograph them? Try to find some sort of high tech preservation method?

I thought there was an eggo shortage! Really, I read about on CNN and heard reports on marketplace. So, does this mean everything is okay in the world of Kelloggs?
Forced my friend to buy these and make them for breakfast one morning. Still tastes like the cardboard food of the future!
I know I’m getting to this a little late, but they should NOT make Star Trek waffles – or Star Trek anything, really – without William Shatner.
Oh yeah, and since there’s a waffle shortage anyway, does that mean these are super-DUPER valuable? They’re collector’s items ON TOP of being in short supply.
