I’m pretty fascinated with the Bubble Eye Goldfish.
Anything with massive “eye bladders” has my attention. In a cursory search, I couldn’t even find an adaptive explanation for these little sacks (they are easily punctured, but will heal and re-inflate). The eye bladders even create visual obstructions and get in the fish’s way quite often.
It’s like he has giant kidneys on his face…I love it…

They are just so clumsy and adorably expressive. I co-owned one of these years ago, who was named “Champ.”

I was very disappointed to see you are using my photo without permission or credits. It is the last photo in this blog of the celestial eye goldfish. Please remove it from your website immediately. In the future, please do not post photos on your site unless you hold the copyrights or have purchased a license for them unless you enjoy being sued.
Done. I apologize. The images without sources on this blog come from other sites who did not credit the photographer/artist. There is A LOT of that going on and often it’s impossible to trace the original creator. I have never taken something directly from someone’s website without credit!
While I appreciate the prompt removal, ignorance of the law does not excuse you from following it. If you cannot secure permissions or if you do not purchase the rights to a photo, don’t post it.
