It’s funny how I’m virtually unshakable in the face of my traditionally “scary” things, but the thought of knitting with dog hair thoroughly unnerves me.

Even more disturbing is the fact that enough people are interested in the subject for a publisher to put out an instructional book.

Ok. This is hilarious. On many levels.
First, because the dog on the front is a bouvier, which is the kind of dog I’ve grown up with.
And because when I was little, and there wasn’t much money in my house, my mother made a stuffed animal…and stuffed it with dog fur. Which I always thought was strange.
And just this last year, I made a prop of a monster and used dog fur to finish him off http://www.ghoulfriday.com/step_8_play
But people have taken it to a new level. Knitting with it! No, I’m not ready to take that step.
A WHOLE BOOK dedicated to it!
Oh, that is a little disturbing all the way around. I don’t enjoy dog hair.
There’s no way I’d ever knit with doghair, but if these folks are looking for materials, my floors are rich with this substance!
