Vincent Price’s Shrunken Head Kit

Vincent Price’s Shrunken Head Kit would have been on my Christmas list if it were available when I was growing up (oh, who am I kidding? It would be on my list now).

With this kit, anyone could turn a simple apple into a morbid, rotting monstrosity (which can be similarly accomplished by, well…letting an apple rot. But where’s the fun in that?).

I’ve always been a Vincent Price fan, but this brings my appreciation to new levels.

PS I’m off to Philly for the weekend, but will be back in full swing with the posts on Monday.

  1. what marvelous things that exist in the world!! that.is.FREAKING AWESOME and I suppose they don’t make em’ anymore. ha! that would be so cool to hang on the front door! (‘What ever happened to your ex-boyfriend?’ ‘Oh, he’s…hanging around’) *snort*

  2. Muh-ha-ha! I have a shrunken apple head sitting in my cube at work right now. I guess because I’m still a big kid at heart and still make these whenever I have old apples turning mushy in my kitchen.

    Hilarious.

  3. Oh man… I thought Vincent Price was the bomb before… now he proves that he is so worthy of my undying adoration! I hope he made tons of money off of this.

I love how it’s called an “Apple Sculpture Kit”. When I think of sculptures… apples NEVER come to mind.

  4. Wow! I’ve seen it all now.
Wouldn’t mind one of those myself, but now whenever I hear anyone say, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away,” it won’t seem quite the same somehow 🙂

  5. On old childhood favorite come back to me. For you all to be joyously happy you shoud consider putting the kit back into my possession as I will again try to reign supreme in the poorly understoon people of teh south, I am the light, the brigh star, the streghth to guide out

  6. Surfing around digg.com I noticed your website bookmarked as: Vincent Price’s Shrunken Head
Kit | SheWalksSoftly. Now I am assuming you bookmarked it yourself and wanted
to ask if social book-marking gets you a good deal of site visitors?
I’ve been thinking of doing some bookmarking for a few of my websites but wasn’t certain if
it would yield any positive results. Appreciate it.
