I spent a good hour scouring deviantart.com (so you don’t have to!) for Halloween art and crafts. Here are a few of my favorites…

Web Urbanist rounded up some examples of Halloween inspired street art and assembled them into neat little collages.
These images won’t fade out once November 1st rolls around…

Eureka! I was doing some searches, trying to find where the Predator pumpkin came from…and am image of a similar style led me to THIS genius.
See more of Ray’s pumpkin carving here.

It’s almost time for me to leave town, so…cleaning off the desktop to make room for the hundreds of things that will undoubtedly accrue by the time I return.
I’ve never thought to do a pumpkin like this, but it looks great:

An antique bat sketch. Simple. Classy.

Continuing with the results of my antique search (though this can be horrifying for multiple holidays):

I’d like to construct a replica of this game, because I doubt I’ll ever be able to find it:

This horrid, HORRID thing came up in a search for “antique Halloween.” Most people who know me are aware that I have a general aversion to the human foot. A creation like this is entirely uncalled for. But I suppose this “lantern” qualifies as something I consider frightening.

Pardon me while I wash my eyes with bleach.

Don’t be fooled by this monstrosity. Target has some great Halloween goodies.
A few notes…
MONSTER CEREALS: What happened to the package design? Boo looks jaundiced and sickly. Frankenberry has a strawberry manicure like a pre-teen girl. The Count still has odd buck teeth instead of fangs.
POP TARTS: If you eat pop tarts, get these! They are autumn in sugary toaster pastry form. I can only handle Pop Tarts occasionally and I found myself addicted.
TREAT BAGS: Amazing job on the treat bag design this year…they’ve gone for a vintage look!
PLATES: These were a gift from someone who knows me quite well, obviously. I think they are my favorite Halloween plates of all time.
SOCKS: For a special baby girl I know. Adorable little skull design.
GROWING OCTOPUS: I know this isn’t Halloween related. But cephalopods rule.

Let me preface this post by saying that “Cookie Party” is a nickname I have for one of my cats. If you met him, you’d understand.
Here is what turned up in a full-on cookie search this year.
Amazing Day of the Dead Cookies. These would be a memorable gift or addition to any gathering:

Eye of Cyclops cookies:

These Designer Chocolate Covered Oreos are not traditional Halloween designs, but I think they’d fit quite nicely at a classy Halloween party:

A few pretty things from Rolling Pin Productions:

Nice patterns from Gumdrop Cookie Shop:

This post is dedicated to the feline Cookie Party in my life:

I didn’t save my source on these, but it looks like something I probably found on Monster Brains.
They just don’t make ’em like this anymore.

Amazing decoration idea, found on Pumpkinrot:

This post is really just an installment of “desktop goodies” with a Halloween theme. A few things I’ve right clicked…
The Zombanana has been making the online rounds like mad. I can’t recall my first source, but I keep seeing it.

From DWEIG:

A couple of selections from 64 Colors

Anyone know the source of this awesome picture? I wish I remember where I found it! If you blogged it…tell me…

Not many graves feature winged skulls anymore…particularly with bat wings.

A couple from Aurel Schmidt:

Wonderful take on a Suspiria movie poster:

Got runs in your tights? Make your pumpkins sexy!

Now, I’m really not a fan of dressing up animals…but this is rather brilliant:

I have one version of a Predator pumpkin here, but this one is outstanding:
Anyone know the source? I’d like to give proper credit.
