Hannah Stouffer does some beautifully detailed line work. I’m also partial to her pieces that look like fabric, lace, textbooks and illustrations were thrown in a blender and poured out into delightful collages.

Regardless of what you may think of Slipknot as a band, the craftsmanship of their masks is undeniably fantastic. They certainly give the infamous Hannibal Lecter, Leatherface and Pinhead a run for their money (click image to enlarge).
Doesn’t this collection make you want to watch video classics like this masterpiece by Tool?

Is there a word for when the entertaining properties of promotional efforts actually surpass that which is being promoted? I’ve never seen the program, but these murderous Dexter marketing schemes are impressive.
I’m not sure if advertising SHOULD be so mind-blowing, but that’s a philosophical debate for another day. Right now, I’m just amused by the morbid displays that are bound the shake up the pedestrians. Many more on this blog (in Spanish).

Now here’s the kind of efficiency that seems to have gone out of vogue in modern snack foods: a napkin, conveniently built right into the popcorn package.
We have countless novelty candies designed to make a mess (an undeniable part of their charm). But this harkens back to the days before Cheetos turned our fingers neon orange and the “ick factor” of powdery, gooey, drippy treats became so alluring.

Recently, I had dealings with a Born Again Christian (Note: never, EVER get so fed up with Jesus propaganda that you flee the scene with reckless abandon and accidentally scratch up the Born Again’s car in the process…I’m just saying).
I’ve avoided the torrent of “Born Again” post ideas that immediately flooded my brain after this incident. Not an easy task, given how comical, infuriating and sociologically fascinating I find this particular subset of Christianity. But I can’t resist sharing this:
I encourage everyone to take a good few minutes appreciating this album cover. You’re welcome.

Here we have a comic book-esque sea creature ushering in the giant Imperialist boat, much to the chagrin of the proud communists on shore. The caption reads “DEATH TO IMPERIALISM.”
Placing personal politics aside, I plan to make a series of Ultra Mundane Propaganda posters in the same comic book style. Keep your eyes peeled for “DEATH TO SLIGHTLY OVERCOOKED MEAT!”…“STOP THE MADNESS OF UNTIED SHOELACES!”…“42 CENT STAMPS IS ROBBERY!”

Let’s get this straight: I am not a fan of rock opera’s or heiresses who “act.” Yet I’m beyond excited to see Repo! The Genetic Opera.
The music is described as “Industrial Punk Cabaret” and the list of participants is drool-worthy. Among my favorites: Ogre, Sarah Brightman, Joan Jett, Buckethead, David J., Daniel Ash, Melora Creager, Poe…(I could go on, but oh movie, you had me at “Ogre”).
Check out the first official trailer:
An epidemic of organ failures devastates the planet. Panic erupts and scientists feverishly make plans for a massive organ harvest. Out of the tragedy, GeneCo, a multi-billion dollar biotech company, emerges. GeneCo provides organ transplantation for a profit. In addition to financing options, GeneCo reserves the right to implement default remedies, including repossession. For those who can’t keep up with their organ payments, collection is the responsibility of “organ repo men”, skilled assassins contracted by GeneCo, ordered to recover GeneCo’s property by any means necessary. – IMDB

This site posted a series of desktop wallpapers, some of which are quite stunning.
Every few months, I dream of the apocalypse (my subconscious usually conjures up shifting planetary alignment and massive flooding; the images are vivid and breathtaking). I swear, someone crafted this image around my last apocalyptic nightmare.

My Sins in Glass post made me want to make all kinds of sin-inspired creations. We were discussing a Plush Sins set, and Artie sketched his vision of Gluttony:
So…why not?
Not my best work, but lots of fun.
Sewing silly things helps me unwind. Requests?
