  • Follow Your Heart

    May 3rd, 2012

Well, this is certainly one of the more interesting headpieces I’ve seen. It comes from On Your Head’s etsy store.

While I’d hesitate to wear this piece…say…to the grocery store or post office, I think it would work quite nicely at some of the more unique events on my list to attend.

    See more designs here.

  • People Too: Sheet Music Art

    May 2nd, 2012

People Too make fantastic whimsical art on sheet music.

Busy little scenes are brought to life on each page…

I love how the notes become structural aspects of the design.

  • William Basso Sculpture (Eldrich Design)

    April 30th, 2012

I’ve posted about William Basso’s wonderful art before, and I was delighted to hear about his three dimensional works.

    My favorite:

Detail (I wish tombstones still looked like this):

    Lovely, no?

Some classic monster works in progress:

  • Gerard Trignac

    April 29th, 2012

I just spent a while letting my eyes wander in Gerard Trignac’s galleries.

Much of his work is centered around architectural structures.

They are shadowy mixes of classic form and industrial grit, often devoid of human inhabitants; abandoned, yet complex and teeming with life.

    Such beauty mingling with decay…

  • Celestial Serving Bowls

    April 28th, 2012

I’m a sucker for anything geeky or scientific for the home (not sure how well that meshes with my penchant for spooky things…in my mind, it’s seamless). These Celestial Serving Bowls would make a fine addition to the kitchen.

  • Baronyka

    April 27th, 2012

Baronyka’s Etsy store has the latest items on my wish list.

    ATOM NECKLACE!

These pieces are laser cut, quite beautifully.

  • Donn P. Crane

    April 26th, 2012

Donn P. Crane is one of my favorite 20th Century illustrators. Unfortunately, there are not many resources I’ve found that share his wonderful work. Here are a few spooky/lovely pieces.

If anyone has seen extensive collections of Donn P. Crane’s work online, please let me know!

  • Jonathan Coulton: Creepy Doll

    April 25th, 2012

What a lovely little song and video…if you’re into this sort of thing, like I am.

  • House of Lizarraga

    April 24th, 2012

House of LIZARRAGA is the website of artist Bob Lizarraga, creator of great lowbrow art that features some of my favorite things.

    Twilight Zone!

    Beloved classic monsters…

    Absolutely love this one:

And I also adore the Haunted Mansion Bathroom, where the bride is caught by surprise in the tub!

See more here or on the artist’s blog.
