I love Pumpkinrot for posting Halloween images all year long with incredible consistency. Check out these images of home Halloween decor I found over there:
Isn’t this an amazing garage setup?

The Internet is flooded with Easter treats these days, and I hadn’t planned to post much to spare you the redundancy. Then again, I’ve collected awful Easter bunny photos for the past two years so I might as well put them to good use, right?
Definitely start with last year’s Evil Bunny megapost if you haven’t seen it. Some of those bunnies are not to be missed! And now for an encore…
This is like something a serial killer would wear…

And THIS child is in undeniable danger.

I always think of bunnies as cute and round-ish, so I was surprised to see the number of oddly elongated heads.
The creation of a lagomorphic Dr. Frankenstein?

This is what happens when you report for mascot duty right after getting cut off at the bar. I bet he reeks of whiskey and carrots:

Mia Makila describes her work as horror pop surrealism. But after browsing through her paintings, mixed media projects and photography, it’s quite apparent that this description doesn’t do justice.
Some of these disquieting images give the feeling of staring straight into a nightmare. I’m going to be quiet and let you observe…
There is a twisted intensity in certain faces that makes me shiver.
Some pieces remind me of a modern day Hieronymus Bosch or Pieter Bruegel, rich in apocalyptic chaos.
So many places for the eyes to go…

The talented Trey Ratcliff of Stuck in Customs was lucky enough to visit the private studio of composer Hans Zimmer.
This room takes my breath away. Something about this dark, velvety aesthetic always makes me feel at home.
Put me in there with some dark chocolate and a good book…I may never want to leave.
This post is really just a photo and my reaction to it: this piece of furniture looks hungry.
Despite my love of Victorian style, I’d be afraid this thing would devour and digest me. There’s no shortage of “artistic” furniture design aimed at looking menacing, but this one has unintentional sinister appeal.
I wanted to post about John Purlia a while back, but I wasn’t able to save images from the website (appropriately titled Wind Up Dreams and Vinyl Nightmares).
These photo collages of vintage toys, kitsch and ephemera are rather close to my heart because Mr. Purlia and I have a surprising amount of artifacts and images in common (particularly the Kewpie dolls and robots).
I’ve been wanting to get my hands on one of those devils!
I’m not going to spoil it by typing them out here, but all of these little vignettes have titles that further add to to narrative. They are really fun to look at.

I was first enamored with this print from Wall Blank:
This prompted me to search their archives, and sure enough there were a few treats to be found.
World’s most complicated (yet humane) mouse trap:

The site is adding a new print each day for the month of January.
