Hostess With the Mostest has shown a new twist on traditional Halloween decor: black and blue, evil science.
I haven’t been to Home Goods yet (where many of these decorations come from), but put mad science into anything…and it’s pretty likely I’ll enjoy it.
How do you feel about unconventional colors and themes for Halloween? Do you keep it traditional or mix it up?

It’s that time again!
I’ll be participating in the Cryptkeeper’s annual blog roundup of countdowns.
About 87% in my poll wanted a month long countdown, 10% wanted two weeks. So to be fair to everyone I will probably do the vast majority of posts with a Halloween theme and a small percentage of others…I think. We’ll see what strikes me.

While I am completely in the spirit of Halloween already, I’d like to give an option or two for the less obsessed. I plan on doing a Halloween Countdown again this year. How long should it be?

Usually I feature a few items at a time from Pottery Barn or other stores that carry Halloween treats. However, these lights deserve their own post because I love them so very much.

I actually think they work better without the “Halloween” ones beneath.

Now to battle the decision of spending $30 on a few little lights…on the wish list they go…
