Edgar Hernandez is a Mexican mixed media artist with a wonderfully somber sense. His figures seem to come from some distant French town, where all is gloomy. Therein lies their charm and appeal. The song in the video gallery below will set the mood:

I like these a lot. They’re miserable and funny, grim and colourful, and weirdly moving.
I wonder what it would be like if this artist were to expand his style into cake decorating?
