I once went through a small phase of doing art/collage work on vintage yellowed book pages. I enjoy the idea of using something other than a blank canvas or piece of paper. Vanessa Prager uses blue and red ballpoint pen on blank music sheets.
I like her selective omissions of color.

As a composer, i want to go in there and write the notes that the images inspire.
Maybe I can make some art on music sheets for you to do this with. ๐
AS an artist, It is amazing to see what beautiful work can be made with simple ball point pens. I spend way too much on art supplies for sometimes questionable results.
Yes, sometimes a return to simplicity can be kind of refreshing.
They look really amazing. Reminds me of when I used do little drawings and doodles in black biro on my schoolbooks. I really have a feel of how much effort went into getting those bits of solid colour in there. Great stuff!
I used to doodle on everything in school too (and get recruited by friends to decorate their notebooks and such). It’s definitely a time consuming pursuit!
