Laurie Lipton: Weapons of Mass Delusion

One of my favorite artists, Laurie Lipton has a new exhibit at Corpro Gallery.

The series is a haunting, satirical look at industrialization, celebrity, consumerism and the effects of mass produced culture.

She draws upon iconic images of perky retro housewives, juxtaposed with the cracking tangled mess behind the facade…

I’m very impressed with the demonic, anesthetized cult quality.
