Desktop Goodies 5/25
This was the ONLY way to play with Weebles back in the day!

“Hey…would you cut me a slice of that potato salad?” I’m not sure why the mid-20th Century as a whole felt that all food was better served molded and congealed.

Maybe Snuggles can cook up something better.

Now THIS is a great piece of food!

Clearly the world’s most amazing self-help book:

A book that the occasional SheWalksSoftly reader might have actually had:

“Hang on…I have to put my face on.”

An accessory for the man about town:

I never expected a Mighty Dark-Winged Avenging Lord of Chaos to be named “Bryan.”

It seems I had a bunch of images lined up to post, so expect another Desktop Goodies installment soon…

As always, I LOVE your goodies! I wanted the Weeble Haunted House as a girl but got the Pooh Bear one instead. I’m hunting for the haunted house at flea markets but coming up empty.
Do-it-yourself-coffin…have you read the Amazon reviews on this one??? If not, you MUST read them ALL! That’s all I’m going to say
The grave marker…someone is rotting in a place not very nice…ouch!

I had no idea there was a Pooh Bear haunted house!
I did NOT read the amazon reviews of the coffin book…but I sure will now!

You are so cute! Not a Pooh Bear haunted house…just an innocent Pooh Bear tree house. How fun you connect all things haunted with me
Oh, and you MUST read the Amazon reviews! Hopefully the ‘one’ is still up…quite thrilling and horrible actually. Something right out of a movie!

Snuggles is very highly evolved.

OMG that Weebles Haunted House is giving me flashbacks to my old Weebles Magic Kingdome

I don’t think I had that one! I wish I had kept the haunted house. Maybe it’s still in my basement somewhere…

two things that stood out to me: That the weebles had a haunted dollhouse and that potato salad can be served in loaf form….. I’m a potato salad fan and as a potato salad fan, I can say… that looks wrong. very wrong. yuck.

In the mid 20th century, all food was somehow transformed into a loaf and sliced up for serving. You’d be amazed at the congealed horrors of this time period!

Carrie, I can’t respond directly due to WordPress’s absurd 3 comment thread limit. But Pooh Bear SHOULD have had a haunted house! Everyone else was getting on at the time. Why not Pooh? (*imitates sad bear voice* “Oh bother…”)

DIY coffins! Unbelievable. Looks like the next guy needed a DIY tombstone. It reminds me of an episode of Jam where a guy had a living funeral. He was sitting in his coffin waving at people as he was brought to the grave. I think he read his own obituary! Then he was buried alive and left to die. Jam was incredibly creepy like that.

I’ve never seen Jam, but I think a living funeral (sans the “buried alive” part) would be extraordinary.

Hehehe…
Jam could get pretty uncomfortable sometimes. Lots of fun as well though.

You just reminded me I have to get going on the next one. I had tons of leftover images. Perhaps I should make it a weekly thing because these posts are the most fun to make!
