Donn P. Crane

Donn P. Crane is one of my favorite 20th Century illustrators. Unfortunately, there are not many resources I’ve found that share his wonderful work. Here are a few spooky/lovely pieces.

If anyone has seen extensive collections of Donn P. Crane’s work online, please let me know!

  1. I do find it fun to see folks from long ago as quirky as us (& many of your other followers). I have to wonder, was it harder for them to be themselves, where they treated different for who they were? Lovely work by Mr. Crane. I’m sure he would have been a friend :)

At least folks like us could take refuge in spooky illustration work (if they possessed the talent) many decades ago. It seems like a more “acceptable” outlet for the strange ones of yesteryear.

  2. The first picture makes me smile with love. :)
