Pat Perry
I love when my frustration at finding a great uncredited image is mitigated by that very image popping up in an artist portfolio I happen to be browsing.
I saw the following piece last year and had no idea that Pat Perry was responsible for it.
His work is positively overflowing with surreal detail.
Such an oddly innovative use of space and subject matter in these portraits…
I actually find this image rather heartbreaking.

Poor Batman! I wonder who did this! Superman?! I must NOT show this to my 5yr old. He will never recover!

Clearly, Batman is simply staging an elaborate trick to reel the bad guys in by appearing weak. As soon as the villains show up, he will leap out of the chair and save the day!

I think the first image sums up a lot of our problems pretty nicely.
As for the Bat, hey, he’s gotta retire sometime.
