Halloween Countdown: Laurie Lipton at Last Rites NYC
While not a Halloween exhibit per se, I feel this is completely appropriate for a Halloween countdown. Laurie Litpon’s new show at Last Rites is gorgeous, of course.
Lipton’s outrageously detailed pencil drawings are a phenomenal sight…especially in person. If you can possibly make it to this show, I highly recommend it.
See the show online here.

K.O., you would LOOOOOVE her work. It’s incredible in person. Yes, it’s all pencil (and the images are huge). Totally mind blowing.

I especially like those last three pictures. A very weird mix of funny and romantic/tragic/Idon’tknowwhat.

Indeed. Laurie’s work tends to evoke many different feelings (often contradictory)…which is why she’s so wonderful.

If Laurie Lipton’s work ever comes to your area, definitely see it in person! It’s awesome.
